After a somewhat thwarted career in British television ("The Persuaders" - 'Annoyed Shopkeeper' 1968), Rex found world fame in the US hit series, 'Squad Car Seven' as the 'fish-out-of-water' British gentleman seeking thrills and a way of forgetting by enlisting with the California police force. Rex's memorable lines include "Heavens, my eye glass has fallen down the storm drain," and "Well, that is hardly cricket!" He had brief notoriety as a chat show host, famously referred to by Richard Nixon as "That British bastard with the marbles in his mouth".
Rex lives in semi-retirement near Rhyl with his housekeeper, Norman, and fourteen adorable Shetland ponies.
